Technical Account
Manager
Job Summary
WAV Account Managers are responsible for receiving, contacting
and following up on leads and prospects via phone and
email contact in order to increase sales. Provide technical
information and customer service to each client to assist
them in making an informed decision of the product(s)
they need for their application.
- Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Contact leads and prospects via phone and/or email
to initiate new business
- Provide technical information and exceptional customer
service to clients
- Suggestively sell all product lines offered by WAV
- Secure business in the form of sales
- Consistently meet and exceed sales quotas established
by WAV
- Initiate and maintain long term customer relationships
for future business
- Partner and work directly with suppliers/vendors
to direct leads to WAV
- Enter new client/lead information into CRM system
– according to entry format and without error
- Process sales orders for customers via CRM system
- Maintain current on internal systems and processes
in order to increase level of customer service to
clients
- Maintain current on technical knowledge of all product
lines offered by WAV, attend in-house and supplier
trainings
- Attend trade shows, travel as required
Experience Requirements (the minimum level of direct
experience in a similar position).
Three to Five Years of previous sales of a technical
product line. Must be computer literate in Microsoft
Office programs and must have prior experience (2 to
3 years) using a CRM system.
Educational Requirements
Must possess a professional level of both verbal
and written skills. Must be able to prepare quotes,
sales orders and presentations without error. Detail
oriented. No college degree required.
