The RUS Broadband Initiatives Program will furnish loans, grants and loan/grant combinations to assist with addressing the challenge of rapidly expanding the access and quality of broadband services across rural America:

- The second round of funding will commence at the end of 2009
- The third round of funding will commence in Spring 2010

The NTIA Broadband Technology Opportunities Program will provide grants to support the deployment of broadband infrastructure in unserved or underserved areas to enhance broadband capacity at public computer centers and to encourage sustainable adoption of broadband service.

| DOJ BYRNE JAG-The Department of Justice Byrne JAG Grant Program: |

The DOJ Byrne JAG Grant Program funds grants for state and local programs that combat crime. The Byrne JAG program is distributed by formula-60% to the states and 40% to the local law enforcement efforts.
- Application Deadline Passed: June 17th, 2009
- Award recipients will receive funds August 17th, 2009, roughly 60 days after the application date
