    Strategic Account Manager

     

    A WAV Strategic Account Manager is responsible for consistently meeting and exceeding sales quota for WAV. They must have a razor sharp focus on gross profit using entrepreneurial and strategic thinking to maximize every opportunity. A WAV SAM provides business development expertise and partners with manufactures to build a pipeline of customers while leveraging WAV’s support team to provide technical information and world class customer service. A WAV SAM stays top of new industry technology and is always looking for new ways to grow their partner base by attending tradeshows, traveling to meet with WAV’s top partners, and attending supplier trainings. The WAV SAM acts as a liaison to ensure it’s easy for our partners to work with WAV. The WAV SAM has a passion for success and the drive to make it happen.

     

    Key activities that WAV's Strategic Account Manager will be engaged in:

     

    • Secure business in the form of sales

    • Consistently meet and exceed sales quotas

    • Contact leads and prospects via phone and/or email to initiate new business

    • Cold call prospective clients to identify opportunities and move them through the sales process

    • Provide technical information and exceptional service to clients

    • Suggestively sell and cross-sell specific product lines offered by WAV

    • Initiate and maintain long term customer relationships for future business

    • Partner and work directly with suppliers/manufacturers to direct leads to WAV

    • Enter new client/lead information into CRM system – according to entry format and without error

    • Maintain current on internal systems and processes in order to increase level of customer service to clients

    • Maintain current on technical knowledge of all product lines offered by WAV, attend in-house and supplier trainings

    • Attend trade shows and travel to customer locations as required

    Qualifications:

     

    • Three to five years of previous sales experience of a technical product line

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and experience using a CRM system

    • Must be able to prepare quotes, sales orders and presentations without error

    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
