Product Information
A failed car battery, harness coupling, jump-starting, or even switching on the AC unit can provoke unexpected voltage spikes at any moment, potentially damaging sensitive electronics. A built-in gas discharge tube provides an effective solution to mitigate this risk. Under normal conditions, the gas within this sealed glass tube is an insulator. However, when subjected to high voltage, the gas ionizes, creating a low-resistance pathway for excess voltage, diverting it from your equipment and preventing failures.
The transient voltage suppressor (TVS) semiconductor offers another defense against rapid voltage fluctuations. This multi-tiered approach safeguards your devices from high-voltage surges. We have also integrated active polarity protection to shield against reverse voltage connections, which is a common oversight. Moreover, a low-pass filter is incorporated to eliminate unwanted transients, while a standard fuse provides supplementary protection.
Jumper configurations make it easy to adjust the output voltage, and a pass-through mode is included for scenarios where input voltage regulation is unnecessary. Ultimately, proactive measures are always more cost-effective than remedial repairs.
