CWDM / DWDM Modules
CWDM and DWDM technologies increase fiber capacity by carrying multiple optical wavelengths over the same fiber pair. CWDM is commonly used for cost-conscious metro and access applications, while DWDM is suited to higher-density optical transport where tighter channel spacing supports significantly greater fiber utilization. Engineers should consider channel plan, wavelength range, optical budget, transceiver compatibility, connector type, and required distance when building a multiplexed link. Proper wavelength matching helps avoid interoperability and loss-budget problems across the transport path. WAV offers CWDM and DWDM optical components for ISP, carrier, data center, enterprise, and metro fiber deployments.
