Position Overview

Join a fast-growing organization that specializes in enterprise WLAN networks, wireless broadband, fiber (FTTx) and LTE technology solutions. WAV’s Technical Product Manager will serve as a liaison between WAV and its vendors, as well as its customers, ensuring the success of the product lines in all facets of the relationships.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish rapport (with frequent communication) with key vendors.
  • Engage internal sales teams and customers with WAV’s FTTx, Wireless Broadband, Enterprise Networking and WLAN, as well as all other WAV technology solutions.
  • Provide consultative pre-sales technical support to internal sales teams and customers.
  • Generate bill of materials (BOMs) based on the application requirements or competitive quotes.
  • Generate and maintains Sample BOMs.
  • Work internally with WAV’s Purchasing team to align forecasts with quarterly product purchases and rotations/returns.
  • Communicate sales numbers and forecasts to key departments within the vendor.
  • Assist in managing the new vendor onboarding process.
  • Assist in coordinating new vendor training and determine new product training cadence.
  • Ensure WAV’s sales and technical staff maintain required training, certifications, etc.
  • Work closely with WAV’s Marketing team to maximize MDF opportunities, promos for inventory and additional marketing activities.
  • Attend vendor partner events.
  • Assist sales staff by providing feedback on products, ancillary products, pricing, establishing BOM’s, aligning vendor engineering/sales talent with WAV sales staff.
  • Participate in establishing SOPs (standard operating procedure) related to area of responsibility.
  • Communicate lead disposition and reporting to vendors.
  • Manage product life cycles and transitions to new products based on supported product lines.
  • Assist in developing and finding net new FTTx partners and establishing new markets.
  • Attend and conduct quarterly business reviews with WAV and vendors upper management.
  • Contract review, interpretation, and communication and execution of the requirements.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in the company’s employee handbook.

Position Overview
The Business Development Executive develops and directs all sales activity in his or her territory inclusive of growing sales and profitability of WAV by prioritizing and capturing significant new customers and growing revenues with existing customers.


Key activities that WAV’s Business Development Executive will be engaged in:

  • Achieve sales goals established by WAV
  • Responsible for aggressive growth of new markets in a specific territory with unlimited commission potential
  • Establishing a rapport with vendor/manufacturer regional sales managers to develop territory sales
  • Aligning net new partners in various vertical market/technology segments with WAV
  • Forecasting to WAV’s Sales Management and WAV’s Executive Team
  •  Participate in weekly sales meetings to identify opportunities and high growth sales accounts
  • Travel throughout the designated territory as needed to achieve sales and new customer acquisition quotas by visiting Top Prospects, Partners and Manufacturer Reps
  • Engaging large Prospects/Partners, working at the C-Level

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops metrically driven sales priorities and tracking within the existing systems of WAV
  • Develops, identifies, and qualifies new business development opportunities through strategic prospecting planning
  • Establishes and builds strong client relationships over time that allow for continuity and ongoing representation
  • Plans how to establish and maintain major account relationships and meet personal sales targets
  • Responsible for selling all of WAV’s lines, where applicable, to partners and prospects to maximize revenue capture
  • Translates client needs into marketable service enhancements; work with management to design, implement and market new services and features to the Company’s customers
  • Develops quantifiable value propositions to clients based on their individual needs and work to enhance and deliver meaningful data to clients so that they can better manage their budgets and capital assets
  • Promotes the highest quality image of WAV with employees, customers, vendors and the community
  • Work closely with management and purchasing to plan required inventory levels
  • Maintains awareness in the development of sound marketing strategies, monitor industry trends, attend conferences and maintain focus on company growth objectives with a goal of maintaining/achieving a superior position in the industry
  • Maintain current knowledge of vendor product lines available from all WAV vendors.
  • Respond to customer inquiries on technical issues by getting answers to technical questions from vendors or from WAV’s Technical Support when available.
  • Travel requirement: moderate

  • Monitor RMA’s and ensure that customers get credit/replacements that are owed for products that are shipped defective or incorrectly labelled by the vendor
  • Communicate to customer on the availability of and expected time of arrival for items ordered and provide tracking information to customers, if requested
  • Work closely with purchasing to plan required inventory levels
  • Attend trade shows and vendor sponsored events to meet and develop new prospective business opportunities
